You know, even though they’ve become hideously overpriced in recent years, Goodwill does sometimes shake down with a few nice items. To wit, remember how I’ve been agonizing about whether or not to make a new costume for World Fantasy, and how I was going to be on the lookout for cheap fabric? Well, [...] Oh, dammit. I have found a place online with good prices on three sewing machine feet I absolutely must have if I’m going to attempt a new dress (a ruffler foot, a hemming foot, and and overcast foot.) And I have found black taffeta (polyester, natch) for $2.49 a yard.
