The base was [...] Last night’s PDX GearCon reception was a whole bustle-load of fun. It was very well attended by a wide variety of talented writers, costumers, and steampunk enthusiasts. I was particularly touched that my writer compatriots David Levine, Camille Alexa and Garth Upshaw all turned out in full steampunk regalia (Karen Berry, aren’t you kicking yourself [...] When you’re doing Victorian costuming, and you get to the part where you start doing trims, you will find that you use gimp.
