  | I’m kind of embarrassed that this is my first post of 2012. So let’s see what been going on so far this year, and what there is to look forward to … I finally got a new camera! Remember how I’m always bitching about how crappy my phone camera is? Well, I broke down [...] Orycon 33 is about six weeks away, apparently, and I have already received my programming schedule. Writers’ Meet & Greet Party Sample cheese and wine and mingle with fellow [...] 1) I am going to Worldcon, yay! 2) I will be at the con all day Friday (arriving early Friday morning), all day Saturday, and a bit of Sunday (leaving just before lunchtime, IIRC). 3) I will be staffing the SFWA table on Saturday from 4-5 p.m. I will also be attending the Louise [...] Well, the first day of PDX GearCon was pretty fun. If all the maiden-voyage kinks are worked out (and I have no doubt they will be) this con bids fair to be Portland’s premiere Steampunk gathering in the years to come. I left work around 3:30 to make a 5 p.m. panel on “Budget Steampunk [...] So as has been mentioned elsewhere (repeatedly), Nebula weekend coincides with some prediction of global doom.
