You may have already heard, but the Clarion West Write-a-thon is beginning in a few days. Now, I’ve already plugged this worthy cause, but I thought I’d plug it again because, by my count, only 27 more participants are needed to make it an even 100.

Why is this important? Well, it’s important because this year, there are three people offering to donate $5 to every person who enters the Write-a-thon as long as 100 participants sign up. That means there’s $1,500 of donations to Clarion West on the line, and it would be a shame to see those go a-begging because we couldn’t find 27 more people to sign up.

Look, if you’re a writer, just go sign up. Seriously. Whether you need a kick in the pants or are already producing many thousands of words a day, participating in the Write-a-thon will allow you to support a worthy cause while working toward your creative goals. It’s a win-win!

And now, I must go write. See what good habits this Write-a-thon inspires? And it hasn’t even started yet!
