Just a reminder to mark your calendars: One week from today, on September 16th, at 7 p.m., I will be reading from THE NATIVE STAR at Powell’s Books in Beaverton. There will also be a 19th century trivia contest with prizes! I won’t say what the prizes are precisely, but I can promise you that Powell’s is gonna smell like lavender for a month after I’m done with it.

As has become traditional for Powell’s Readings, a group of local writers & readers will be getting together for dinner at McMenamins Cedar Hills beforehand (6 p.m.) Please join us if you’d like to! The more the merrier! RSVP with a comment or just drop me a quick email so we can give the restaurant a headcount.

I’m so happy for you. Have a great reading! I want to come but I’ve committed to an event in St. Helens at the same time. Hope to see you (and hear you) at OryCon.

Saw this and got all excited. Then realized it’s in the ‘Tron. Hoping for downtown. Not sure I can make it, but I will most certainly TRY. Cheers to you, dear friend and city-sharer.
