Well, that’s that! I’ve made some tough executive decisions regarding how many cons I can afford to do this year. With The Native Star coming out in the fall, I figure it’s the fall/winter cons that are most important for me—World Fantasy (at which I’d *really* like to do a launch party if all the stars align) OryCon and SteamCon. But that’s it for this year. Norwescon, Wiscon, and Readercon—you’re outta here. Fingers crossed for 2011! As far as travel to NYC goes, I’m definitely not going to give up my KGB reading slot in July, as I have a frequent flier ticket that will allow me to do that trip on the cheap.
In other news … meh. There really is no other news worth reporting, as indicated by my lack of posting for the past week. I’ve been under the weather since Sunday. Hopefully things will perk up soon.

No Wiscon makes me sad. What about our room we were gonna share?
Yeah, I'm sad about it too. But the Governor's Club room is still
available, and you & Camille and whoever can have it!
Yay launch party yay!
But boo noWisCon boo!
No NASFiC?
Bah humbug.
Can't you get your publisher to pay for something like that? Or am I being naive?
Nope, it's not like the hot-and-cold-running-money world of academia.
Not in 2010 … but hopefully in Reno in 2011!
I'm counting on it.
