I need box tops … for education!

boxtopSee that little picture there on the left? I need those. A bunch of them. The real ones, of course, cut off boxtops from fine General Mills products. This year is Outdoor School for my daughter, and not only am I looking for every possible way to defray the $300 price tag for her, I’d like to find *extra* money to help defray the cost for other kids in her class because … day-um. Three hundred smackeroonis is a lot of smackeroonis.

Which brings me to these Boxtop for Education thingies. My daughter’s school gets a dime for each one of these she turns in. Not a princely sum, certainly, but with enough of them …

So I thought I’d give this crowdsourcing thing a try. Do you buy fine General Mills products? Can you effectively and efficiently wield a pair of scissors? Can you stick a stamp on an envelope full of little cut-out pieces of cardboard? If so, I’d be eternally grateful. And hey, if you have a kid who collects Labels for Education (the Campell’s Soup thingies) I’ll be happy to clip those for you in exchange, as my daughter’s school doesn’t take those.

My daughter has to turn all of these in by February, so I need to have them by sometime in January. If this is something you can help with, leave me a quick post in comments and I’ll get in touch with you IRL.

    I will keep my eyes open for them… not sure how much GM stuff we use, but I’m used to looking for the little pink label — both my parents were teachers and saved them!

      I usually buy generic, but now daughter has me clipping coupons so we can buy GM products. The phrase “penny wise and pound foolish” is starting to cross my mind … ;-)
