So maybe you’ve been wondering why I’ve been so silent over the past week. Or maybe not. But I’m going to tell you anyway. It’s because I was redesigning my website! Yes indeed! I have, in fact, turned it from an old hand-coded hack-job monstrosity into an elegant, centralized switchboard from which I can control my vast (and still growing) empire of content.
So now my Journal, my Twitter, my Facebook, and my static Webpages all live under one content management system. I am drunk with power! I have stats and junk! The only thing I’m missing is a widget that lets me remotely launch ICBMs!
It feels very good, and I’m very happy with the results. I feel like I’ve just tidied up a messy closet. Except there’s this one burnt-out lightbulb I can’t reach that’s keeping me from feeling perfectly satisfied. See, there’s this one PHP glitch that I can’t figure out, web wizardess Deedop can’t figure out, and I haven’t been able to find anyone on the theme support forums to help me figure it out either, even though I donated $30 whole bucks to them. Sheesh!
(Not for nothin’ — if anyone out there is familiar with the Atahualpa theme, and knows PHP, please drop me a line. Oh please oh please! I’m starting to get desperate.)
Well anyway, that’s Demimonde: The Reboot. I hope y’all enjoy it. Please, come visit, let me know what you think, and let me know if there’s anything you think I should add or change or whatever. And I’ll still be hanging around LiveJournal to read my fList, that’s the one thing about LJ that’s pretty hard to duplicate.
